Fudge Brownie and Pecan Tassies


Do you love Christmas? How about those delicious Christmas goodies? Would you like a new recipe to add to your tray? Then fudge brownie and pecan tassies are for you! So tie on your apron and lets get started!

Pastry
Ingredients: 
1/2 c. butter softened 
3 oz. cream cheese softened
1 c. all-purpose flour

In a mixer cream the butter and cream cheese. Stir in flour. 

Scoop rounded teaspoon (I use Pampered Chef's small cookie scoop) into ungreased 1 3/4 muffin tin.

Roll into balls and press them down. 

Press the pastry so that it comes up the sides. (I use Pampered chef's mini tart shaper.)

Pecan Tassie Filling
Ingredients:
1 egg
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1 Tbsp. butter, melted
2/3 c. chopped pecans
Beat egg, brown sugar, and melted butter until combined. Stir in pecans. Scoop the filling into a medium plastic bag and pipe into the pastry. 

Bake at 325 F for 25-30 minutes or until pastry is golden and filling is puffed. Cool slightly in pan and carefully move to wire rack. 

Drizzle with chocolate. 

Fudge Brownie Filling
Ingredients:
1/2 c. chocolate chips
2 Tbsp. butter
1/3 c. butter
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
Melt butter and chocolate chips together. stir in sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla. Spoon into a medium plastic bag and pipe into pastry. 

Bake at 325 F for 25-30 minutes or until pastry is golden and filling is puffed. Let cool.
