Chocolate Chip Cookies

This chocolate chip recipe that we got from my Aunt Chandra is very superb. Whether you prefer soft moist cookies or crisp cookies this recipe can do both. Just beat it for longer or less time and tweak the baking soda amount. It is also super easy to double or half depending on how many cookies you want. So tie on your apron and lets get started!
Ingredients:
1 c. butter or margarine softened
1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 c. brown sugar
4 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
5 1/3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
Preheat oven to 360 F. If you have convection use that and do it at 350 F. Cream butter and shortening. Cream in sugars. Beat until fluffy. (💡Tip: The longer you beat the cookies the tougher they get so the trick is to beat them enough that they are fluffy but not enough to kill them.) Once the butter mixture is fluffy, beat in vanilla and Eggs. (💡Tip: Once you add the vanilla and eggs you don't want to beat the dough for too long or it will make a tougher crispier cookie.) Stir in flour. Stir in chocolate chips.
Scoop onto cookie sheets with parchment paper on them. (I use pampered chef cookie scoop.)
Bake the cookies for 8-10 minutes.
Hope you enjoy!
