Panzerottis

Want to change up your usual pizza? Panzerottis are basically pizza in a pocket. They are WELL worth the effort of making them and cleaning up afterwards. If you want to make them extra good, you can deep fry them. A bonus is that you can also use the dough to make pretzels. Two in one! So tie on your apron and lets get started!
Ingredients:
1 Tbsp. yeast
1 1/2 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. sugar
4 c. flour
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add salt and sugar. Mix in 3 c. flour. Knead in remaining flour. Knead for about 7 minutes. Let dough rise for 1 hr.
punch down and separate into 4 equal balls. Roll out till they are a size that you like.
Fold in half. Spread sauce on half of panzerotti. Spread on toppings of your choice.
Fold and seal with water.
Bake at 425 F for 12-15 minutes.

Top Sauce:
Ingredients:
1/2 lb. ground beef, browned and chopped small
2 cloves of garlic
1 small onion
2 tsp. parsley
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 28 oz. jar of tomatoes
1 small (5.5 oz.) tomato paste
1 tomato paste can of water
Put ingredients into pan and bring to a boil, uncovered. Put lid on and stir occasionally. Simmer for 2 hr.
Spread on panzerotti right before you eat. (If you put it on and then leave it the panzerotti will go soggy.)
Hope you enjoy!
