Sugar Bread (Suikerbrood)

Another Dutch treat! Suikerbrood, though not healthy, is certainly very delicious. Sticky with buttery, cinnamony, and sugary tastiness this is a good way to be unhealthy. So tie on your apron and lets get started!
Ingredients:
1/2 bread recipe found here
3 heaping c. sugar cubes slightly broken
2 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. butter, melted, divided
1/4 c. butter softened
1/2 cup sugar
Break sugar cubes a tiny bit.
Stir 2 tsp. cinnamon into sugar cubes. Spread softened butter onto two pieces of parchment paper and put into bread pans, butter facing out. Sprinkle some of the sugar cubes onto butter, trying to get some onto the sides. Sprinkle cinnamon into pans. Take half of the bread recipe in the link (💡Tip: If you have a stiffer bread use that because the sugar will sink to the bottom with softer breads.) and roll it out. Brush 2 Tbsp. of melted butter on rolled out bread. Spread half of the sugar cubes onto bread.
Roll up dough and knead in. Roll out and brush 2 Tbsp. butter on dough. Spread the rest of the sugar onto dough, roll up, and knead. Divide into two loaves. Work sugar in so that it is throughout the whole loaf.
Shape and put in prepared pans.
Stir 1/4 cup and 1/2 cup sugar together and brush onto bread.
Let rise. Bake at 350 F for 25 minutes. Melt 1/4 cup butter, 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, and 1/4 cup sugar together and mix until combined. Brush onto bread and put back into the oven for 5 minutes. Take out of pans right away.
Best eaten warm...but delicious at anytime.
Eet Smakelijk!!
*note: I am still in a learning process with this recipe...I am trying to make it like a local bakery had it with sticky glaze on the outside...if anyone has any tips that they would like to share please comment or contact me on the contact bar. Thanks!

    6. And I also need to find a stiffer bread...the one I use now is very fluffy so it doesn't work so well...
