German Chocolate Brownies

 
Whether you want these brownies for brownie sundaes, a gift for a loved one, or just a tasty snack, these brownies are killers! Chocolate brownie with chocolate chips and caramel. So tie on your apron and lets get started!
Ingredients:
1 package chocolate cake mix
1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted
1 c. evaporated milk, divided
35 caramels
2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 F. Combine cake mix and butter in mixer. Stir in 2/3 c. evaporated milk. (Batter will be thick.) 
Spread half the batter into ungreased 9 X 13-inch baking pan.
 Bake for 15 min.
Melt caramels and remaining evaporated milk in the microwave or in small saucepan over low heat. Sprinkle chocolate chips over hot brownies and drizzle caramel on top. 
Drop remaining batter by heaping teaspoon over caramel mixture. 
Bake at 350 F. for 25 - 30 min or until center is set.
